LMV Driving Licence in India: Meaning and Application Process
LMV means Light Motor Vehicle. On a driving licence, the authorised class and any transport/non-transport endorsement determine what the holder may legally drive. An LMV entry should not be treated as permission for every vehicle with four wheels or for every commercial use.
A first-time applicant normally completes the learner's licence stage before applying for a permanent LMV licence and taking the driving test.

After Approval
Use check driving licence status to track issue. Verify spelling, date of birth and vehicle class as soon as the official record becomes available.
